As the company grows, we are updating our processes and procedures, so you'll need to be comfortable with changing the way you work as required.
the role

You will be working with other members of the Administration and Financial Planning teams, ensuring that tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner following processes to ensure compliance at all times. The ability to work closely with colleagues in pursuit of a common goal is essential. Candidates must be highly organised and able to work under pressure when necessary.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure completed applications are correct to submit new business
  • Monitor applications and deal with providers through to completion and payment of fees
  • Deal with follow on work such as investing monies, payment of pension benefits – i.e. moving clients into drawdown
  • Ad-hoc withdrawals from pensions and investments
  • Updating and maintaining a back-office system
  • To issue letters of authority, monitor and deal with responses
  • Obtain illustrations for new business across a range of products and providers
  • Collating and pre-completing paperwork for client applications in a timely manner
  • Prepare client valuations and any necessary paperwork for client review; deal with any recommendations such as crystallisations, payment of benefits, fund switches, etc
  • Dealing with both incoming and outgoing post; maintain an electronic filing system ensuring records are up-to-date and accurate
  • To deal with general client queries as required
  • Attending some client meetings
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally
  • Ensure as account manager your client cases are reviewed prior to meeting to ensure file correct and nothing is outstanding
  • Regularly liaise with the adviser on ongoing cases
  • Collating client information and preparing suitability reports
  • Managing cases to completion and working with internal processing systems
  • This must all be done with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail

£25,000 - £35,000 (Based on Experience & Qualifications)
hours
Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
holidays
28 days holiday with 4 days being used during Christmas office closure, plus bank holidays.
training
As an organisation we are focused on continuous personal and organisational improvement and ensuring that each individual is given the necessary training is a key part of this. We will support you to complete as many of the CII financial services exams as you can by paying for the direct costs and providing study leave.

qualifications & experience
  • Essential: Experience dealing with processing of pension switches, transfers and pensions into drawdown
  • Essential: At least 3 years’ experience working for a financial advice firm on both New Business and Existing Clients
  • Essential: Must have excellent written and oral interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, potential clients and product providers
  • Essential: Should be client focused, detail orientated and conscientious with the ability to demonstrate a methodical, organised, flexible approach to work
  • Essential: Must adhere to set deadlines and have the ability to work under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities and maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Essential: Should have a good understanding of financial products, especially pensions
  • Desirable: Proficient in the use of IT systems and packages, in particular Microsoft Office
  • Desirable: Experience using Intelliflo is an advantage but not essential
