PARAPLANNER

Wealth of Advice are looking for experienced Paraplanners, to join their expanding team in Durham, helping to deliver efficient and effective support to our financial advisers.

The paraplanning team are, along with the advisers, the primary point of contact for clients. They carry out technical research for client meetings pre-meeting research and assess the client’s objectives and complete research to identify suitable solutions to meet client requirements. They will also be required to arrange and attend internal / external client meetings and train and lead junior members of the team.

Applicants will need sound technical knowledge and an understanding of financial/investment products including pensions, ISAs and income drawdown contracts. They will be responsible for carrying out financial analysis to enable them to draft recommendation reports / suitability letters for review and sign off by the advisers. They must also be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent client communication skills.

Candidates will ideally have some financial services qualifications and/or significant industry experience, along with the ability and desire to progress to Diploma level.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves dealing with clients, has the confidence and skills to manage advisers’ workloads and, most of all, relishes the responsibility and sense of achievement that comes from ensuring clients are well-looked-after and enjoy the best possible outcomes.

FINANCIAL PLANNING ADMINISTRATOR

This role includes a broad range of administrative tasks, including maintaining up-to-date client records, dealing with product providers to process new business applications and client transactions, and rebalancing investment portfolios in accordance with advisers’ instructions. This role requires prior experience within the financial services sector.

Experience of working with the Intelliflo back office system and investment platforms would be an advantage. However, full training in these areas can be provided to the right candidate.

You will be working with other members of the Administration and Financial Planning teams, ensuring that tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner following SRT processes to ensure compliance at all times. The ability to work closely with colleagues in pursuit of a common goal is essential.

These are busy roles in a dynamic department, so candidates must be highly organised and able to work under pressure when necessary.
